Statutory liability insurance: Assurance against accidental breaches

This protects against unintentional breaches of New Zealand laws. It covers defence costs and fines resulting from such breaches. If found liable, AA will cover the fines up to the policy limit. Acquittal is supported, wherein any defence costs already paid by you will be reimbursed.

Similar to statutory liability insurance, this policy also offers advancement of defence costs and extends coverage for defence costs under specific circumstances.

Protect your small business with AA business insurance

Running a small business in New Zealand is no easy task, but now you can safeguard your hard work with an AA insurance policy.

This insurance coverage is designed specifically for small business owners like you, offering honest and flexible options that can be customised to meet your unique needs.

Here's how you can apply and get the protection you deserve:

Step 1: Get a quote - No strings attached

Before committing to anything, it's important to get a quote for your business insurance. Rest assured, these quotes are not binding, and you're not obligated to purchase a policy. By requesting a quote, you simply confirm that you have access to the relevant policy documents and agree to AA Insurance's terms and conditions and privacy statement.

Step 2: Fill out the application - Easy and honest

The application process is hassle-free and ensures you receive the right coverage. All you have to do is answer the questions honestly and accurately. You'll provide details about your expected annual revenue, whether you have multiple business locations, and if you need coverage for any business vehicles. Plus, you'll choose whether to insure your business contents, stock, and profits against potential losses.

Step 3: Submit the required documentation

To finalise your application, you may need to provide some additional documentation. This could include information about:

  • your occupation,
  • the number of employees you have,
  • and the address of your business.

AA wants to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of your business to offer the best coverage options.

Step 4: Calculate premiums - Fair and transparent

Once you've completed the application, AA will calculate the premiums or instalments for your business insurance. The cost is determined based on factors such as the sum insured, your business's annual revenue, and any additional coverage options you've chosen. They believe in fairness and transparency, so you'll know exactly what you're paying for.

Step 5: Approval - Tailored to your business

Every application is carefully evaluated based on AA’s approval criteria. They take into account factors such as your business's nature, revenue, and any existing policies you may have with them. The goal is to provide you with coverage that suits your business and gives you peace of mind.

Step 6: Contact AA - Expert guidance at your fingertips

If you have any questions or need assistance with your application, don't hesitate to reach out to AA business insurance consultants.
