• Maximum reassurance: If repair isn't viable or if theft goes unresolved, ASB will honor your policy's insured amount.

Coverage extends to:

• Essential additions: Auxiliary dinghies, trailers, and onboard equipment fall under the insurance umbrella.
• Recreational gear: Specified fishing, diving, and water skiing equipment receive coverage, unless already protected under another policy.
• Personal effects: Items like phones, cameras, and personal belongings, valued at up to $10,000, are included while aboard.
• Damage prevention: Expenses for damage-mitigating items, like flares and fire extinguishers, receive coverage, up to 25% of the insured sum.
• Towing assistance: If needed, ASB assists with towing expenses to the nearest repair facility, up to $2,000 (maximum $4,000 annually).
• Legal protection: ASB provides personal legal liability coverage of up to NZ $5 million.
• Rescue & accommodation: In the event of loss or damage, rescue costs, temporary accommodations, and transportation expenses are covered.

Exclusions

While ASB's insurance offers comprehensive coverage, certain exclusions apply, such as:

• Manufacturing flaws: Damage resulting from design, construction, or manufacturing issues is not covered.
• Natural wear: Normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust, and gradual deterioration fall outside the coverage scope.
• Active use equipment: Damage to fishing, diving, or water skiing gear during use is excluded.
