Policy conditions

Loss of rental income claims

Any excess beyond what is legally entitled or recoverable from the tenant will not be paid out.  

The benefit starts:

  • The day following the final rent that was paid by the tenant and ends when the occupancy by new tenants begins
  • The lease expires
  • The landlord takes the property off the market
  • The tenant vacates with no replacement
  • The maximum claimable amount has been reached

Recovery of bond claims

You or the estate agency needs to retrieve the entire security deposit to cover the costs of renting the property out again. Evidence of bond invoices, rental expenses, or property inspection reports is not required to claim for loss of rental income.

Market conditions

The policy won’t cover excessive vacancy periods dictated by rental market conditions.

Recurring lease agreements

The loss of rental claim considers the stipulated obligations of tenants in periodic lease situations.

Arrears

If the cover isn’t in place at the start of the occupancy, certain sections of the policy only be covered once the tenant maintains two months rental payments without significant arrears.
